Re: Seth, what's the plan after this?
Seth, Fair question: who is this guy? I started at 10 turning wrenches on log trucks in my dad's shop. Put in 12 years at a fence and deck company. Then built my own roofing business from scratch and sold it. I've dug the post holes and I've made the payroll. When I say I get the trade, it's because I've done the work. That's why Hussar exists. We buy businesses like yours and hold them. The name stays. The crew stays. The reputation you spent many years building doesn't get stripped for parts. Has a transition ever crossed your mind? Even five years out, it's worth a conversation. – Kirk Koskiniemi hussarholdings.com PS: I'm not private equity in a suit. I'm a trades guy who buys trades businesses.
Seth, what's the plan after this?
Hi Seth, I'm Kirk. I run Hussar Holdings, and I spend a lot of my time talking with fencing owners who built their companies from nothing. Fencing runs on referrals and reputation. You don't survive 20 years of fence lines unless people trust you to show up and do it right. Here's my question: when it's time to hand it off, who takes it? I'm not asking because I think you're ready to walk away. I'm asking because guys who built something worth keeping usually want it kept. – Kirk Koskiniemi hussarholdings.com PS: If this isn't relevant to you, just reply "pass" and I won't email again.
